A New Home (Designed with You in Mind)

by Sifu Nick Francis

*Our new home at the Lancaster Wing Chun Association

We have been working hard these last several months to expand our training center to meet our needs. It has been very important to us to create a space, with and for others, who want to share all the benefits that come from learning Wing Chun.

We have recently completed our renovation going from a 550 sq / ft facility to almost 1600 sq / ft.

Simply so we can...

• Focus on heath and well-being.

• Build meaningful and supportive community.

• Discover and train energy, balance, and relaxation.

• Gain confidence in learning with and from others.

• Increase physical and emotional self-awareness.

• Learn a self-defense skill.

• Gain benefits of many kinds...

And surprisingly, we are already utilizing the new facility. We are already filling it up!!!

In fact, although we are finally getting to the end of the work, we acknowledge that the process has aways been as important to us as the final product. The process is all about people, certainly in comparison to valuing a building or a place. After all, hasn't it always been true that a home is defined by those who live in it rather than what it looks like?

The Lancaster Wing Chun Association is no different. It is very important to us that we have a place to become the people we want to be. It is very important to us that we work to become the best version of ourselves.

Isn't this what we all want?

For this to happen, we understand that we have to act like those people! So we use this place to practice. We practice and train kindness, thoughtfulness, awareness. We practice skills that empower us to live boldly, peacefully and powerfully.

To live a whole life, we understand we need to gain a sense of wholeness. I gain this sense of wholeness by learning with and from my students.

In fact, this week I had said to a wonderful student,

"One thing I have learned, and that has benefited me well in my life, has been to gather around myself the BEST people, and to listen and learn from them."

Here is just a example of some of those I get to share my week with, who serve and encourage others around them!

You are the reason this place exists!

Thank you so much for making building the Lancaster Wing Chun Association to be a place that reflects the best its members have to offer. Thank you for all your service, commitment, willingness to share, learn and grow with us!

You are deeply appreciated!
